Intolerances: Fructose, Gluten, Dairy, Soy
A tart and flavorful vodka, that can jazz up any cocktail.

If I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, cocktails can get boring when you are limited on options. Rather than trying to come up with one more item to mix in with a drink, I figured that I should simply flavor the alcohol of my drink. Cranberry Vodka. It can make a make a refreshing lemonade in the summer or a classic martini for the fall.
Serve it in:

- Club Soda
- Lemonade
What you need:
- Pot with Wooden Spoon
- Fresh Cranberries
- Lemon
- Sugar
- Water
- Vodka (Grey Goose, Stoli, etc.)

The Vodka
First thing to do, is wash your lemon under cold water and pat dry. Next, peel the lemon rind, approximately 4-5″ and reserve. Make sure you that when you are peeling the lemon, you are only getting the bright yellow skin, not the white pith. Add the cranberries, water, lemon rind and sugar to the pot. Boil on low until the cranberries brighten and slightly burst. Remove from the heat and let the mixture come to room temperature.


Pour the mixture into a fine mesh strainer, discarding the liquid. Add your pour the mixture into air tight container. Pour (spoon) the mixture into an airtight container, top with vodka, cover and shake. Let the mixture sit for 3-5 days and then strain out the cranberries.You now have a delicious cranberry vodka. Keep the vodka in an airtight container and it will be ready for your next cocktail.

Cranberry Vodka
Intolerances: Fructose, Gluten
Serving: 2 cups
Prep Time: 0 minutes Total Time: 20 minutes
2 cups Grey Goose Vodka (or your preferred vodka)
1 cup Cranberries (fresh or frozen)
1/4 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Water
Rind from 1 large lemon
Yields 2 cups
Boil water, sugar, cranberries and lemon rind until the cranberries begin to burst. Remove the pot from the heat and let the the mixture come to room temperature, strain the liquid and add the cranberry and rind mixture to an airtight jar. Top with the vodka and shake. Let the mixture sit for 3-5 days and then strain out the cranberries.
Serve over ice with club soda and a slice of lime or sprig of basil.
